When predications of a winter thaw are sounded irrational fears of the dreaded ─ though seldom realized ─ “mild winter” begin taking shape in the hearts of winter devotees. Lay your fears aside because we've found the perfect cure.

In tiny Jukkasjärvi, Sweden stands the 25th iteration of the whimsical and quirky ICEHOTEL.

Every year designers and ice sculptors descend upon this small village of 548 souls to build a new rendition of this famous ice and snow hotel.

For only $400 a night, you can sleep on a bed of ice with the room temperature set at a cozy 23˚ F (-5 C) with no bathroom en suite.

The 100 guest hotel boasts an ICEBAR with drinks served in ice glasses, an ice chapel, restaurant and more.

It sounds a bit crazy, but most guests say the experience is well worth the price.

Watch this National Geographic video and then check out the rooms in more detail here.
