Enter Project Ivanpah─a solar electrical generating system developed by BrightSource Energy and NGR Energy.
The system comprises three solar thermal power plants consisting of over 170, 000 mirrors (heliostats) that directs captured sunlight to the 459 foot receiving towers, which is then converted into usable energy.
