Overview

The council has a long tradition of hosting its members at a spring conference every year. The board selects a city and arranges for tours and presentations with local corporate headquarters facilities. Frequently, a "bonus" venue is included, such as the year the council got a behind-the-scenes tour of Cincinnati's Great American Ballpark, and the conference in the Los Angeles area when the facilities managers at The J. Paul Getty Museum gave participants an in-depth look at what goes into maintaining that stunning institution.

In the fall at IFMA's World Workplace, the council meets for an educational session and a business meeting. These two conferences are the only time members have the opportunity to meet each other face to face as a council, and much planning goes into making these events worthwhile.
